The slow down, by MH

I tried to order some boards to build a deck and our local lumber store was out of just about everything and could not fullfil 30% of the order. My brother was told by LOWES that their lumber sales were down 90% and they have stopped ordering lumber to stock, so I assume our local place did the same.............being SPRING is normally a great time to build...........has the gas crash hurt the USA that bad or is it just local to me?

I know our herbal orders have dropped off, but that is natural for the summer months, anyone ordering this time of year does not have to wait long.
