Re: interesting
Plain jello has lost all appeal in a
world where cow products have a risk
of CJD (mad cow). Jello is made with
cow hooves. Organic gelatin probably
contains agar-agar & might work good if
you have access to hot water to make it
and cold to set it up etc. My situation
was being out on the road, being a vegetarian
with no good food options and no kitchen or
way to make juice. I had a hot plate and
blender and juicer in the van but no
electricity. Water was the rule those
days until evening when I could go find
a restaurant. So, I had found this product
which was supposed to basically blow up
in my intestines and make me feel full.
I had found it at a health food store so
thought I would give it a try. It was only
my effort to delay hunger. I did not like
it at all, although it did make me feel
full, the aftermath was not in line with
how I felt when I would normally have to
put in those hours and do the same thing.
That was where the difference was. Almost
like my stomach was stretched and I found
it irritable and hard to please after the
fact.
I make sure I have options in a cooler now
since if you are a vegetarian, so often
the only thing off the highway you can find
to eat without meat is a salad or a bean
burrito. Things have gotten better since
WalMart has more organics and they seem
easy to find but anyway, it was an experiment
that I will not repeat...ggg.
best wishes,
Zoe
