Re: Is alcohol necessary when making your own??

The only homeopathic I have made was a urine one and I added the alcohol. I think urine probably has the potential to "go bad" quicker then a lot of other substances. I too do not like alcohol. I at one time thought that I was allergic to it. The weird thing is that when my AK tested me for my reactions to it, it tested fine. Then I found out I had hormonal problems, and one possibility is that the alcohol effects my already screwed up hormones, and this wouldn't show up on the muscle test. Who knows. My AK says that the amount of alcohol in a homeopathic is tiny and that it dissolves/evaporates before it really gets into your system in any measurable amount. He says that almost no one is allergic to actual alcohol - it is usually the additives. I tested to be allergic to hops - although I can sympathize with you. I bought some stuff from MH awhile back and didn't end up using much because I also hate the alcohol, and I would need to take teaspoons/tablespoons of his stuff. I have found that the drops with alcohol don't affect me.
