Re: What can I do?

You really need to see a urologist and if you do have HPV, get an exam every year! I have HPV myself, and I'm also studying to be a doctor. I can't tell you how nervous it makes me to know that my partner refuses to see a urologist because of embarrassment. HPV increases your chances of prostate cancer later in life..so exams every year are crucial in order that you catch it early. Plus..the warts are the easy thing to get rid of. You will always have it in your bloodstream though until hopefully a cure is found. I'm sure at your age it is hard to see your own doctor privately, so perhaps you should tell your parents or go to the local health department. Although this disease is still mysterious, I hear that about 70% of the population has it and may or may not even know it...so you are not alone. I wish you luck!
