Spine works pretty well as an arch, but it is poorly suited to function as a column as it functions in humans. I am not a biomedical engineer or any other profession that I could authoritatively speak about this. I have, however, read proposals by others which touches upon improvements that they would make.

I could not tell God how to design a better human, as God did not have a hand in creating/designing us, or any other lifeform.
