Re: Find out whether or not your water is fluoridated
Thanks for the GREAT LINK!
I do not have city water, but all the cities around me do have fluoride (of course).
I have my own well. BUT... it has been contaminated with a chemical called TCE. This chemical is used in metal parts cleaning and barrels of this chemical were buried many, many years ago. It was first found in local wells 20 years ago. The SOURCE of these leaking barrels was just found in the last few months. The area of contamination in the 20 years since first discovered has spread every year. We are now told that there is such a wide area of ground contamination that this chemical will not be removed from our well water in our lifetime. They are digging up the barrels and then will 'clean' the surrounding soil, but there are miles and miles of this chemical already in the ground and aquafers. There is no way to dig that out! The barrels of TCE were found buried on the site of what WAS a metal shop. This business operated from the 1940's - 1968. Because it was no longer in business and a new building with a grocery and meat market has been on location for all these years, the powers-that-be NEVER looked in that direction (even though that was the direction of water flow). All they had to do was cross the road!!
I just share this here so people with wells will question what could be in their well water. They might not have chlorine or fluoride but that does not mean they have a water source that is not contaminated by toxic chemicals.
