Re: Vet insists on sedation for CLIPPING NAILS

I have tried this myself...but found it to be unsuccessful for a couple of reasons. 1) I need at least two other people to hold her down. And 2) afterwards, anytime I tried to go near her paws afterwards she would run and stare at me suspiciously for the next hour. I do agree though, if I just get one clipped a day that would be better than the alternative. And there was one time that she was totally exhausted after a very long hike and was asleep on her back and my friend was able to clip them without her waking up. I guess I will just have to catch her after an exhausting day trip! Thanks for the response! No sedation for my girl.
