Re: If you wanted to baby your pancreas...
Hi Fledgling,
I just had a few wines which is not part of your observations. Though I had a wonderful night and afternoon talking to my children and especially with my daughter-in-law and several of all their friends so not my age groups.
In general I agree with you, but after 4 years of adjusting my diet and reading the metabolic type forum I had to change again.
I am back to meat after mainly vegetarian, though the meat is from grassfed animals and they don't seperate the calves from their mothers too soon and when they do the calves are at the other side of the fence so the animals don't have to cry for days.
It does not make me feel much better, but my body needs meat according to the metabolic typing forums. I will keep the meat to a minimum and add really free range chicken eggs on alternate days. Not chicken in a free range barn, but chicken in a field though it is hard to find any wiout grain at all. If it is grain I look for organic.
We have to keep reading to find answers we are comfortable with.
BTW thank you for your e-mail. Indeed WWII has a lot of memories.
My cousin was in Buchenwald as a Dutch resistant fighter he ended up in a concentration camp in Buchenwald. He loved the American fighters , I still feel bad that after I came to the US I did not have the money to bring him over to meethe American fighter pilots.
Of all the horror stories, he had to make lampshades out of peoples skin, his wife committed suicide and my father told me his childen were effected by it too.
It ruins families, I have never understood how Jewish people can live on after having been in concentration camps.
Good luck with your search for health,
Hanna
