Minerals and the sun's radiation...

Hi MH,

I understand that we can get our minerals from food and air to keep us alive. However, regarding the radiation part or "vitamins". If the radiation or vitamins are gone within 7 minutes of picking the fruit, how is the general population(who don't eat off the tree) staying alive?
