vision improvements?

I have the beginnings of macular degeneration, right now diagnosed as diabetic retinopathy with macular edema. So far I have not had it treated allopathically. I have worn glasses or contacts most of my life. I have been on five drops of Iodine twice a day for a couple of months, without side effects, until I got some cleansing and now it is once a day. I know I have some time to go.

My question is: Has anyone had any improvement of vision in any way? I did read the thread where the father's glaucoma had improved. So far my pressure is fine, thank heavens.
