When you open your energy in order to receive signs, they become abundant. You do know who is sending them, just think about the possibilites and see which one gives you a tingle, that will be the loved one. Or it could also be your spirit guide trying to get your attention. I find that feathers from my female spirits tend to be white while from the male ones tend to be colored except for blue jay feathers which come from one of my spirit guides whose name translates to She Who Sees Far.

You will notice more signs now that you are looking.
