To cure or to profit, that is the question.

But then there would be less need for repeat doctor visits since the underlying cause would be corrected and not continue to manifest itself as a treatment. AND, there would be no prescribed medications which would leave the underlying imbalances untreated and likely have side effects that led to more doctors visits for more tests and exams in labs that the doctor often has part ownership in, adjustments or changes in the original medications, and new medications to treat the side effects . . . . which would have their own sides effects and combine with the other medication to produce even more side effects, requiring still more doctor visits, more tests, and still more medications . . . .

As Jon Barron has noted, by the time the average male reaches 65 in the United States, he takes an average of 15 prescribed and over the counter medications daily - and it all started out with one or two conditions that could have been remedied naturally.

One model is good for profits and the other is good for humanity. There are short term exceptions, but in the long run, curing and profits are mutually exclusive. We get the profit model.
