Just read your post WAY down. I hear ya now.

If I had to do it all over again, I'd probably go for this Harmonic Quad version. This UZ is....well, I find it not so "well made". The appearance (note, it's by image only) of the HQ5 has it much more a sturdy device, IMO. I like that a book is available - I like the site much more in general.

Did you not already tell me (us) that you have the UZ? What do you think about it?

I agree and also wish that the subject of zapping was more frequently discussed here, the different models, etc. Did you scan the Zapper Forum for anyone using the HQ5 version?

I'm glad you've brought the topic over here. JAB seems to have a good grip on all this, but he's so onto bigger and better machines as is our beloved Newport.
