I am in agreement with what you say but I think you are going in a different direction that I intended.

I want to know if it is possible for someone to get MS from detoxing too heavily? Did I posion myself? Whether toxins being released or perhaps some metabolic change? I am in good health at this time due to taking one step at a time in my healing process (that's why it took 6 years) but I am looking for answers to these questions.

I was surprised that you did not think being on the Atkins diet for a year was a problem. The 1970's verson was an extreme, almost all meat only diet. The newer version is more balanced and in my opinion is healthier. I also believe that my body became more acid and used up most of it's alkaline reserves during that year. My body then started stealing minerals from my bones to make up for it. These are just my thoughts on what happened.

I do believe emotions cause illness but during that time the only stresser I had was making up my mind to lose some weight and doing it. If that caused it...then we are all in a heap of trouble. :) (refreshed 48124)
