Tincture of Iodine is alcohol based and you would not take that internally. Lugol's
Solution is water based and some use it internally and it can be applied externally.
Lugol's has Iodine and potassium iodide. Tincture of Iodine is pretty much iodine and the alcohol. The new regulations will limit the quantity of iodine or chemical mixtures containing iodine one can purchase over the counter and without perscription. Dr D.C.
