At the very least-- if they treat the unshelled raw almonds with this chemical pastuerization, the chemical may only touch the shell, but not the almond inside.
If they still continue to sell unshelled raw almonds, we can wash them in a biodegradable veggie wash in a bowl with water-- then let them air dry, and then crack them open.
I am trying to remain hopeful that the chemical won't touch the almond inside the shell, as well as that they won't suddenly forbid the sale of all raw nuts still inside their shell.
As for already shelled raw almonds after they begin pastuerizing them---- forgetta about it!
