This is an absolutely fantastic idea!  Fantastic in that it can be done and it will give access to bounty and beauty to anyone in desire or need.

Yes, I intend to look more into this.  I'd much rather drive down a main drag with orange trees (or something similar) in the medians rather than the frivolous display of nonedible plantings that's the usual.
