Mirena removal: graphic pictures

The surgery to remove the IUD went well. They found it between my uterus and bladder. It was stuck in my abdomen wall with a layer of tissue covering it. Sorry these images are so graphic. I just wanted to share the not-so-pretty side of the Mirena with everyone.

Here's where they found the IUD. The bottom organ is my uterus. The top organ is my bladder.

And this is after they patched up the wound.




I am already feeling so much better after having it removed. Of course, I am sore from the surgery. My energy level has shot up. My Acne is finally clearing up. I'm just so happy with the outcome. Tweet
