Re: eye infection and lugol's??????
BT --
I wonder if you could perhaps paint some
Lugol's near your eye and let your body do with it what it will.
Re:
Lugol's full-strength. I was transferring some
Lugol's from a large to a small container today, and spilled some. I didn't want it to stain the counter, so like any good mother, I wiped it up with my finger and stuck it in my mouth! It definitely was "there" but did not burn or hurt in any way -- just a strong taste, kind of metallic (perhaps it was chelating
Amalgam over my tongue or something, ugh). I do have a sensitive spot under my tongue, come to think of it.
That said, I am not sure I would put it directly in my eye unless I knew the exact amount to use. I have wondered about mixing some with saline solution to store/disinfect contacts, for that matter... . Second thought -- maybe I would do that -- a drop per
quart of distilled, perhaps. But that's just me -- I have been in severe eye pain before and it was dreadful. (But then again, so is an eye infection...)
Good luck and hope you feel better.
