Stopping washing your face with soap is a great way to stop oily skin. I have loved relegating the bar soap I used to use for my face to the tooth-brushing kit, and instead using...oil. My theory is that when you wash with soap, it dries out your skin, so you overproduce oil to compensate. (I have found this with hair, too -- I rarely wash my hair now -- about once a week if that -- and when I used to wash it every other day or so, it would get dirty really quickly -- now, it never reaches that point.)
I put oil on my face while I OP, let it sit for a while, and wipe it off with a damp cloth. I usually add a little Iodine to that mix. Then it looks/feels really clean, and that's it!
