Re: it is NOT parasites, ok?
adie32,
I think that perhaps you mistake why many of us are here.
I don't suffer from hypochondria or parasitic delusions and I personally have no fear or distaste for modern medicine or pharmaceuticals. Thanks to modern medicine I am cancer-free and alive today. But I don't have to see a medical doctor to know that I've got a few critters running around inside me. Nor did my parents, or their parents before them.
I've been pooping for a good many years now and believe me when I say that it doesn't take a rocket scientist to recognize the sudden and unexpected appearance of worms in my stool. It's a fairly simple and straight-forward matter in fact. You look in the toilet and you see them. If society has come to the point as to require a 100-dollar visit to a physician to confirm what I've already seen with my own eyes, then I truly fear for the demise of common sense.
I have NO doubt that there are many who come to this site looking for problems that don't exist, to explain away some vague set of symptoms that may or may not even be
parasite related. Such is the nature of the internet these days. There's always a ready source of 'illness' available to fit anyone's needs, and no shortage of folks to confirm and back you up on your self-diagnosis.
My own situation is much simpler. I've got worms, I've seen them, and I don't have the money or health insurance right now to deal with it. I simply came here looking for a means to cure myself... and when the worms are gone, so am I from this site :)
