Re: Grapefruit Juicing, etc.
Yesterday I posted a link that said that using a reamer type of juicer
will assure that orange juice would be less bitter.
I posted it as a solution to sour grapefruit juice.
I was just bad and had a piece of chocolate cake and a
wee bit of ice-cream. I read this post and since I bought a
hand reamer juicer today I went and grabbed it and a grapefruit
to give a good testimonial, especially after eating the cake
with it's sweetness. I slicede the G'fruit in half and began
juicing. First thing that I noticed is that it did not fit the
reamer very well. It was too big. The reamer was designed for oranges.
I was smashing the heck out of the peel to get it to fit well and I'm
sure releasing oils from the skin. Then, the test......aaaarrrgggh!!!...
......YUCK.....It mades lemon juice taste like kool-aid.....
err--uhh?.....I mean,...It was great!!!....Yeah, that's it...Pucker, Pucker....
Mmmm?....Yummmmmmyyyyy!!!........... :) :) :)
