We have started growing vegetables this spring - the tomatoes last year didnt go very well. Also we are connecting a little pipe to the gutter and are collecting rain water so that we wont be using fresh water for watering the garden during the summer month. It feels good doing things without using other resources.

In my culture it is not so common to buy things on credit anyway so I am used to the life style of "if you havent got the money for it now you cant buy it". So the only thing is the house payment (and we do rent out some of the space)- I believe we once bought a sofa which we paid off within a year...it didnt feel nice to have this in your neck all the time.

Next month I have reduced my job to halftime and with it my salary. I will have MUCH less money but a lot more time to engage in old friendships again and enjoy my life a little bit. I am locking forward to spending spring days outside in the sun with my dogs instead of sitting in some office....life is so short- I dont want to wait for my retirement.... Tweet
