Equivocal giardia test result

Hi
I've had various gut issues for 6 years including the parasite dientamoeba fragilis and candida. I've been parasite free for two years and have steadily improved but struggled with the candida. A recent stool test revealed less candida but an equivocal result for giardia. I am confused about this result. My nutritionalist suggests treating it and I am considering a course of Tinidazole (similiar to Metronidazole but shorter treatment) to see if it makes any difference.
Does anyone know about equivacol results? And any recommendations for something hebal to take to shift it?
