Re: 60 DAYS--does anyone remember the woman who did 60 days MC a while back?
Thanks for the thoughtful answer, Pepe! I very much like the idea of a mental cleanup, it's part of the reason I want to a long fast. I need to reconnect to the part of me that craves healthy living, in all aspects, and that's part of what I hope to accomplish with this cleanse. I did 20 days before, and broke not because I wanted to but b/c it was no longer convenient (basically impossible) for me to continue due to outside forces. But I felt that I could have gone for at least another 20, hence my wish to complete 40 this time around. Of course, I will listen to my body and if it seems like I need to break before then, so be it.
If I do complete the 40 days, I will have a full two weeks to break before I leave (I leave the night of the 2 week mark); after that I will be travelling but I should add that it will be far from a third world country--I will be in London for a few days (I'm pretty sure they have fresh fruit and veggies over there) and then I will be on a spa cruise, so there will be plenty of exercise options, as well as light, healthy spa cuisine at my fingertips. To break, I was planning on doing a few days of OJ (thinned with h20 at first) then a few days of OJ and veggie broth, then the veggie broth and veggies, then veggie soup (someone posted a cauliflower soup, I think, that was recommended to break)and a liver cleanse, then move on to melons, other fruits, and salads. I was hoping to get to nuts and perhaps some light fish by the end of the 14 days. I plan to stay away from starches for at least a month after the break. Does that sound right--and feasible/helathy--to you?
Thanks!
