An Ion is a charged particle either positive or negative. The Colloidal Silver made by electrolysis is mostly ionic which is the smallest particles. When the particles combine into larger particles it is called aglomeration. Aglomeration is still ok unless the particles get to large.

Colloidal includes any particles small enough to desolve in water. Tweet
