Day 1...And So It Begins...
Hi Everyone. I'm new to the site. I just decided to do a 30 day juice fast (although I will be fasting mostly on water). I would love the support, and even better, for you to join me.
Here's my plan. April 5th to May 4th I will be fasting on mostly water, however, I plan to supplement with juice every 3-4 days or as needed. I have read a lot of information that says this is the best plan for weight loss. You get the benefits of
Water Fasting yet you can still exercise. I know some people say that your body never enters the protein sparing state in juice fasting, but I have also read that protein loss isn't too significant.
Anyway, for 7 days after that I will be reintroducing raw foods, and I plan to stick to a raw diet for the future. My main reason for doing this fast is for weight loss. The longest I have fasted in the past is 6 days, and I am really looking for a better detoxification. During the 30 day fast, I hope to lose at least 40
pounds and through the raw diet I hope to lose an additional 10 pounds. My starting weight is 198 pounds...and my normal, healthy weight has been 145

TODAY: Mostly water with some herbal teas. I also did some yoga. I feel pretty good, but I just have tight muscles.
