Re: Iodine defiency
There are halides in our tap-water
(chlorine and fluoride are halides)
There are bromines in most flours in the U.S.
(bromines are halides)
The patch test:
*get some cheap tincture of
Iodine from the drugstore
*paint a silver dollar sized circular patch on your belly (some do this on their wrist) and fill it in with the iodine. (Be careful,
Iodine will permanently stain your clothing-it does dry quickly on the skin)
*mark the time
If the patch is still even remotely visible after 24 hours, you are most likely not deficient in iodine.
If the patch totally disappears and is absorbed by your body in less than 24 hours, you ARE deficient.
If the patch totally disappears and is absorbed by your body
in less than 8 hours, you are SEVERELY deficient.
This is an excellent and huge site in which to get educated
