Re: Cold weather
they used sweating lodges and kept feet warm.
Here in Norway they still put babies to sleep outdoors during the day, well covered of course. They stay out there in the freezing cold for hours. And people don't heat their bedrooms, they even sleep with windows slightly open in full winter. And their winter huts, where they go to ski, have still the toilet outside, they are very proud of this (funny people). And in the kindergarden of my son, children stay outdoors at -20 (which I don't know how much it is in fahrenheit, but it is very cold) the whole day, they have a tipi where they light the fire and have lunch all around it, and the little ones can take a nap, but for the rest all day outside (they are covered in layers and layers of wool and windproof suits of course). Guess what? they are never sick in fact.
And the result is that all Norwegians are always very warm. Erik sometimes even burns. I myself am getting a bit better with cold, despite my
Iodine deficiency, the more I forget my italian non-tempered upbringing.
