Anxiety Sufferer

I suffered from my first panic/anxiety attack about 4 years ago. I had just lost my dad suddenly and I guess the only way for my body to let me know to slow down, was to have anxiety. After a year of Lexapro (10mg), I felt I was "healed" and went off without any hitches. Then two years later after my third child I decided to get the Mirena inserted. Well, guess who decided to show his ugly face again? Yep Mr. Anxiety and I mean is was bad! I have had the IUD for about 18 mos. and after reading all of the postings here, I have decided that the little monster isn't me, its the mirena! To all of you who are still having anxiety.....Being apprehensive about how you feel all of the time can make your anxiety worse. This second time around with my anxiety led me to purchase a very expensive program to help me cope with the anxiety. I bought it because I couldn't figure out why I was having it. Every thing in my life was and is great. (Other than being home with 3 kids-ha ha) I learned in the tapes however a lot about anxiety and one of the main lessons is knowing that our immediate thoughts cause immediate chemical reactions in our brain. So I learned not to over anylize everything. So if you have just had the IUD removed allow your body to naturally come off the hormones and don't over analize your feelings to much or you might give you body "natural" anxiety. The second thing I learned is that anxiety will not hurt you...you will not pass out, go crazy, lose your might, or do something outragous. It will pass. I am curious to see if my anxiety will completely go away after I have the IUD removed. As a matter of fact, I have been feeling better just knowing I am not alone and that I am not a failure with the return of my anxiety.
