Muscle-Testing for Bio-Compatibility for Filling Replacement materials?

I have an amalgam filling in one of my rear molars that I would like to replace. I was wondering if it would make sense to do AK (Applied Kinesiology), aka muscle-testing done for bio-compatibility for replacement materials. I find that the blood tests for bio-compatibility are generally expensive ($250-$350), and take time, whereas I can get the muscle testing done locally for a lot less. Is this generally considered reliable?

On a side note, my Dentist noted that I have 3 other cavities that require filling (2 molars, 1 between front teeth). Considering the fact that there's hardly a single filling out there's that's 0% toxic, and the fact that having the fillings done will involve removing even more parts of the teeth, would it make sense NOT to get these done? I'm also thinking about the fact that although it is generally believed that Teeth hardly can remineralize on their own, I hear there is hope on the horizon (homeopathic remedies, oil pulling, etc), and if I get these teeth filled I not only damage them a little further, I eliminate the possibility of them remineralizing on their own. Do I risk a lot by not having them filled, or do the benefits (eliminated risk of cavity expanding) outweigh the dangers (toxicity from filling materials, no possibility of self-healing)? My dentist insists I need them, and of course this is the nature of their business, but do I REALLY need them? Tweet
