the slower you make it, the smaller the particles. i use room temp water. also, the ideal voltage is 30. i haf had good luck with four nine volt batteries in a series and a 30v transformer from radio shack. both sources measure about 35 v on my multimeter. you should be able to see little whisps coming off of the silver while it is making, but when you stir it up, there should be no sign of anything, not even much tyndall effect with a laser. the more the tyndall effect, the larger the particles.
