Re: I was just wondering how all of you were doing, also.
Yes, we do have miso over here, of course. The Japanese drink miso soup with almost every meal. From what I have read the fermented soy is okay. It doesn't disrupt the estrogen as much as the other forms of soy. Like the soy milk, soy nut butters, tofu. Americans always over do everything. Miso is wonderful. My daughter likes the raw miso soup with buckwheat noodles in it. They are the dry noodles that you quickly cook. Occasionally, I will let her have soy nut butter because she is allergic to peanuts, no more than once a week.
Maybe you can make smoothies in a regular blender. Strawberries, bananas, grapes, papaya, possibly even apples will blend smoothly. I even freeze the cut up fruits sometimes. Soak flax seeds and sunflower seeds (raw) ahead of time or overnight in the blender and they should be smooth, also. Add some VCO; that will help the thyroid. I put my maca, mesquite, cacao powder, etc. in the smoothies. I bought the maca powder on eBay. It is quite good. I don't know if he sells it all of the time.
The modifilan is expensive. I only give it to her about 10 days out of the month. I open the pill and sprinkle it on applesauce. Did your daughter's period start yet? Doing all of this once it has started is great incentive. My daughter does not want to go through that every month.
Hope this helps, Aloha and Good Luck
