plate zapping

I have been reading that plate zapping is more effective. I allready have the Ultimate Zapper, haven't tried it yet. I want to make footpads. Of what kind material should the footpads be?

Do I simply buy 2 extra wires (the ones that are included with the zapper, don't know the english words) or is it another process.

I have been reading some stuff here on curezone, but I want to hear from someone who knows how to do it.
