Hi.. I quit eating Sugar and have been doing well at it for about 9 months now. I do VERY low carb eating.. though there have been times I either fell off plan or went to another diet program where they allow for some carbs (like weight watchers). However, I was never happy with the results and I've always come back to the very low carb eating. To date I've lost 97 pounds but still have 63 to go. Giving up Sugar is hard at first, but you get used to it after awhile. Just make sure your taking good whole vitimin/mineral supplements that you may be missing from foods that contain sugar.. like fruit.
