One of the alternative dentistry books I read said that a material called biocalyx ,composed mainly of zinc oxide, effectively seals root canals thus preventing infection.Pulling teeth not only results in loss of bone under that tooth but in adjacent teeth as well,often causing these teeth to loosen and fall out.
TMJ problems including TMJ induced osteoarthritis of the jaw become worse with changes in the bite such as occur with loss of teeth.
