Re: Nothing Happens!?
Thank you once again for a long interesting reply, and thank you also for the compliment!
I have indeed taken a look at your website, and found a lot of useful information. If it is ok, I'd love to copy a few sentences here and there for my personal fasting records, to remember ideas and recommendations!
I am glad that I did do all the colonics, or enemas, as I have to say I do feel a little cleaner inside. Also I've read a lot on others' experiences, so I knew beforehand that without that little bit of assistance I might experience unpleasant flu-like symptoms as well as other negative side effects!
Oh yes, I did think about all the artificial stuff and excess salt in the stock cube (it was a veggie cube by the way). I must say in that respect I totally ignored my better knowledge, that even such a small amount in a lot of stock makes a difference. Then again I had decided to forgive myself the lack of perfectionism, I was already very pleased with myself for going ahead with my very first fast altogether. Also leaving any oil (or the chicken fat I had in the fridge) out of the mix made me feel like there just had to be some extra flavour added.
A lot of sites have recommended drinking broth in the evenings as a tummy filler, and not that I desperately ever needed a hot cuppa, I definitely liked having one every now and then as a bit of variation to my normal veggies-only juices. Maybe next time I'll take your advise and go a bit stricter on myself.
The reason why I decided to enjoy mainly veggie juices (or, in this case, ONLY veggie juices) was that a)most of the people whose experiences I read about hardly mentioned having any fruit juices, and b)I believed that the fructose in pure fruit juice would give me unnecessary short-term energy boosts which could make me feel wobbly. However I do appreciate your insight on this, I would only be pleased to add some sweetness to my next fast, I was absolutely fed up with my veggies by the end of the week and am now having trouble getting rid of the rest of them!
You having faith in me surely makes me feel much better. Many thanks.
