Achieving greater percent of particles over ions

Hi Folks,
I was wondering if anyone had suggestions on how I can get the greatest ratio of silver particles rather than ions. I have a homemade generator made from a 30v DC adapter, .9999 fine silver 12 guage wire, and I heat the water to near boiling. Will adjusting the apporatus so that the electrodes are as close as possible (without touching) achieve a greater particle ratio? Is there anything else I might be able to do. Thanks in advance for your input.
