i am sorry that you may be in a bad place. I am sorry if you are in an abusive situation. It's not a competition- PEOPLE are abused and no one is denying this due to gender. I hope things work out for you and if you need any support I am here. However- does it make someone abusive or manipulative because they cook badly? I think they still deserve appreciation for putting the time in to make you food that helps you stay alive. If you made someone a card and they said the artwork was ugly does that make you manipulative etc.? would it hurt your feelings if they told you that your card stinks and that you are probably trying to hurt them because it stinks? maybe you could take on new roles- you cook and they could do a different chore?!
