If you can't chew them then don't worry about it. Chewing food does have benefits because the saliva in your mouth starts the digestive process, but this is most important for larger pieces of food. I don't mind chewing them so i do it. If you can't then I wouldn't worry about it. A lot of stuff goes in your system that doesn't get chewed, like liquids and pills. And they still work. If you want to kill 2 birds with one stone and use it as an apetite suppressant, then I guess you can. The most important thing is to eat good food, regardless of the quantity.
