The way you feel is perfectly normal. You are 100% right.

You wouldn't dream of doing anything like that to anyone else.

It is NOT fair that it happened to you!!!

Have yourself a 15 minute rant. Say all the worst things you can think of about the low-down, slimy, pathetic jerk who violated your privacy...have hysterics, if you like...beat the heck out of a rolled up newspaper on your kitchen counter, or punch out an old pillow.

A cheering audience is great...but they are not allowed to soothe you, or to say any logic. They must only cheer at every really good curse you lay upon your betrayer.
Applause..."Oh, that was a GOOD one!"

After exactly 15 minutes, you must stop. Laughter is a wonderful way to end it...with pats on the back from your audience (all grown-ups, of course).

Maybe a nice drink of juice or tea, all around. Maybe a really nice treat...and toasts to your thoroughness/effectiveness, your command of the language.

...........

Then, after you are satisfied, maybe the talk will get around to the fact that no one, not the thief, not the fellow he sells it on to, not the end-buyer, wants to be caught dealing in stolen goods. NONE of them remotely cares WHAT is on tape!

You could have the original of War and Peace on video, or Lady Chatterley's Lover, and it will rapidly be erased, probably with all identifying marks, including serial numbers.

Besides, even if someone looked at your video, they have no idea what you will be doing next. Or, what you were doing when you weren't on camera. They don't/couldn't know you from a hole in the ground.

That's NOT what the cameras were taken for.

Addicts, for example, have tunnel vision...all they can think of is their next fix.

Dealers in hot goods can't see beyond making some profit, and not getting caught.

End-buyers are focussed on getting something half-price, a deal...and one-upmansship.

So, wear out that newspaper...and let that rotten experience take its rightful place in 'yesterday'.

My best,

Fledgling
