Re: Blame it on the weather!

I'm in Abilene, Texas. We've been holed up for seven days straight with below freezing temps/ice/snow ... sidenote: my mom left last Thursday to visit my sister in Wimberley, Texas (Hill Country)and she is STILL stranded with no end in sight.

Last night the ice finally got our power line ... terrible power surge throughout the house ... loud pops! ... I am lucky my computer made it through alright ... but we lost the furnace, TV, stereo, stove, and other smaller appliances (that I know of).

The smell of burnt/melting rubber was in the air ... I was scared.

There is ANOTHER wave coming through!!!!!

Argh!!!
