Re: Cigarette toxicity?

No thanks. I've had two friends smoke marijuanna and watched what happened to them and their lives. I would never advocate those drugs, regardless of how natural they are. I've seen what it can do and wouldn't touch them. It's also known as a gateway drug too and so often leads to other things very easily.

ONe friend smoked it, and over time I was unable to even have a conversation with her. Her short term memory altered, personality changes, plus ended up having lung problems, pains right through her chest and back. Finally after getting into the stuff long term, she got worse and worse and had to get help to get off the stuff. Life turned around once she quit! Is now married with kids. Her way of getting through the day was beginning to rely on marijuanna. One guy went from an A grade student to a total flunky after taking marijuanna into his life. He smoked it, got his mellow happy feeling, could'nt be bothered with much else other than that and had to have it in order to cope. That's all he does now.

Another friend smoked it, and went from there onto LSD and so it goes on.

I've yet to see one positive experience in anybody's life in taking it. Not one have I seen. I do not see the necessity in using it with anybody. It gives one a sense of mellowness and a high at the time, then becomes something one could easily rely on in order to feel the same way and from there it can very easily get worse. It isn't healthy, I've tried it myself and was ill after it. And I didn't overuse it either, I just eventually had to stop and I'm glad I did.

I feel the way those things should be used in those who are in a lot of pain (e.g. a war veteran - amputee), and how some use those things to get them through the pain and each day. But as far as recreational smoking goes, they should not be advocated at all in my opinion. Each to their own I guess. I'd rather smoke what Torrie mentioned, which does not alter ones mind/perception/behaviour.
