Re: Problems and Contradictions in the Bible

I've never had fear of the Bible, having studied it since childhood. If the bible cannot be understood by human logic - a cheap and cowardly cop out to avoid any intelligent analysis - then any conclusion, presumption or attempt to understand the Bible is doomed to failure. So any religion based on the Bible is false. What I sense, is moral and intellectual cowardice from people like you. Unwilling to take a critical eye at the source of their beliefs. Afraid because they are so fragile, they would shatter under any weight of scrutiny. I would suggest that it is you who is the needy control freak. You feel so self righteous in your skin you have made yourself a god that can adore you. You need the false comfort of an illusion. You need to control (through your divine creation) all aspects of the universe. This perfectly defines your relationshipe with 'god': "The needy are condescending control freaks because they need to establish an identity as someone who CAUSES shame, guilt, humiliation, intimidation, doubt, sadness, and even happiness as a reward for subordination." Shame, guilt, intimidation, humiliation, doubt, sadness, happines, murder, rape, infantacide, regicide, genocide and even happiness as a reward for subordination" A perfect summary of Christianity.
