Hardcore fundamentalist will argue the inerrancy of the Bible and the need to take it literally, but when confronted with these (among hundreds of contradictions and mistakes) they take a very liberal approach to interpretation in order to reconcile the conflicts.

It is obvious that you want to cause doubt. People spread doubt because they are unstable in their thoughts and lack any real control of themselves and their minds. They really have nothing to believe in (at least not something that makes sense) that guides them through life, no guidelines that define who they are. They NEED the control of CAUSING doubt in those who are fortunate enough and brave enough to have guidelines. It is a JEALOUSY. You sense that you are needy (you don't want to REALIZE this, but you do SENSE it). Now that you are familiar with the bible, you are like Cain wandering the earth aimlessly in the hell of your own choosing and will continue forever unless you acknowledge the truth (John 14:6). The needy are condescending control freaks because they need to establish an identity as someone who CAUSES shame, guilt, humiliation, intimidation, doubt, sadness, and even happiness as a reward for subordination. Now that you can see this, consider putting an end this incessant habit of making a fool of yourself. All of your invalid and illogical questions prove how little you have to say (consider MAKING STATEMENTS instead of presenting questions and shamelessly showing off how little you know). This is a reply to # 812,587I see your points, Been There and WT, and agree there is little value in instilling doubt for doubt's sake. But to be honest, these are the types of questions I wonder about, too. I HAVE to believe that God loves all equally, and that no one religion/people has carte blanche over heaven or hell. It has been a huge part of who I am since I was a very young child, in spite of my Sunday-school upbringing. When someone poses biblical contradictions, it almost sort of sanctions my views in a way, and I don't mean that in a mean way. It tells me, maybe the bible is not the be-all and end-all word after all, and that there is hope for all good souls to be with God, whether they become Christian or not. In my heart, that is what I believe to be right, and why I find it (so far) impossible to devote to any one religion. While I realize Christianity is a leap of faith one either makes or doesn't, to wonder about biblical contradictions seems natural. On the other hand, in such a grand piece of writing, with so many books and authors, it would not be surprising to find some inconsistencies - that doesn't mean the work is invalid.

So any religion based on the Bible is false. What I sense, is moral and intellectual cowardice from people like you. Unwilling to take a critical eye at the source of their beliefs. More progressive Christians have recognized the problems and errors in the Bible, unfortunately fundy nut-jobs irrationally stick to their deluded notion of Biblical inerrancy.
Rabbits do not chew their cud
LEV 11:6 And the hare, because he cheweth the cud, but divideth not the hoof; he is unclean unto you.
'Gerah', the term which appears in the MT means (chewed) cud, and also perhaps grain, or berry (also a 20th of a sheckel, but I think that we can agree that that is irrelevant here). It does *not* mean dung, and there is a perfectly adequate Hebrew word for that, which could have been used. Furthermore, the phrase translated 'chew the cud' in the KJV is more exactly 'bring up the cud'. Rabbits do not bring up anything; they let it go all the way through, then eat it again. The description given in Leviticus is inaccurate, and that's that. Rabbits do eat their own dung; they do not bring anything up and chew on it.
Insects do NOT have four feet
LEV 11:21 Yet these may ye eat of every flying creeping thing that goeth upon all four, which have legs above their feet, to leap withal upon the earth;

How orderly were things created?
#1: Step-by-step. The only discrepancy is that there is no Sun or Moon or stars on the first three "days."
#2: God fixes things up as he goes. The first man is lonely, and is not satisfied with animals. God finally creates a woman for him. (funny thing that an omniscient god would forget things)
How satisfied with creation was he?
#1: God says "it was good" after each of his labors, and rests on the seventh day, evidently very satisfied.

Two issues are at hand: the definition of ‘cud’ and that of ‘chewing’. Let’s take a close look at the Hebrew version of both. Cuds first, chewies afterwards.
First, gerah (or gehrah) is indeed the word used here, and—this is important—it is used nowhere in the Old Testament besides these verses in Leviticus and Deuteronomy. We have only this context to help us decide what it means in terms of the Mosaic law.
Second, the process rabbits go through is called refection, and it is not just ‘dung’ that the rabbits are eating, which is probably why the Hebrew word for ‘dung’ was not used here. Indeed, contrary to Meritt’s assertion, that the word gehrah also means 1/20th of a shekel actually gives us a hint here! 1/20th of a shekel is of little worth, but it does have worth. Where the word for ‘dung’ is used in the Bible, it implies something defiled, unclean, or useless. But in lapine terms, ‘dung’ is not useless: It contains pellets of partially digested food, which rabbits chew on (along with the waste material—UGH!) in order to give their stomachs another go at getting the nutrients out. (It’s an efficient way of getting more vitamins and nutrients, we’re told, but I think I’ll stick with my Flintstones chewables, thank you very much.) The pellets have some minute value, much as 1/20th of a shekel has some value.
Contrast this with what cows and some other animals do, rumination, which is what we moderns call ‘chewing the cud’. They regurgitate partially digested food in little clumps called cuds, and chew it a little more after while mixing it with saliva. (This also, presumably, helps them get the most out of their food, but I’m not trying it.)
So, let’s see … partially digested food. Partially digested food. Seems to be a common element here. Could it be that the Hebrew word simply refers to any partially digested food? Could it be that the process is not the issue, just the object?
Our other key word provides us with some hints. Meritt is partially correct when he says that the phrase translated ‘chew the cud’ in the KJV is more exactly ‘bring up the cud’. (The full phrase is ‘maketh the cud to come up’.) By leaving it at that, he apparently wishes for us to believe that ‘bring up’ means, in an exclusive sense, regurgitation. Whoooooa, horsey. Back up. Let’s check those hooves for Hebrew words! The word here is ‘alah, and it is found in some grammatical form on literally (well, almost literally) every page of the OT! This is because it is a word that encompasses many concepts other than ‘bring up’. It also can mean ascend up, carry up, cast up, fetch up, get up, recover, restore, take up, and much more. It is a catch-all verb form describing the moving of something to another place. (‘maketh the gehrah to ‘alah’)
Now in the verses in question, ‘alah is used as a participle. Let’s look at the other verses where it is used this way (NIV only implies some of these phrases; where in parentheses, the phrase is in the original, sometimes in the KJV):
Josh. 24:17 It was the Lord our God himself who brought us and our fathers up out of Egypt. …
Isaiah 8:7 … therefore the Lord is about to bring (up) the burnt offering …
Nahum 3:3 Charging cavalry, flashing swords (lifted up), and glittering spears!
Isaiah 8:7 … therefore the Lord is about to bring (up) against them the mighty floodwaters of the River …
2 Chron. 24:14 When they had finished, they brought (up) the rest of the money …
Ps. 135:7 He makes clouds rise (up) from the ends of the earth …
2 Sam. 6:15 … while he and the entire house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouts and the sound of trumpets. (Similar quote, 1 Chr. 15:28)
OUCH! That last one would hurt if the word meant regurgitation. No wonder people were shouting …
So what have we learned? The Hebrew word is question is NOT specific to the process of regurgitation; it is a phrase of general movement. And related to the specific issue at hand, the rabbit is an animal that does ‘maketh’ the previously digested material to ‘come up’ out of the body (though in a different way than a ruminant does—as Meritt says, with rabbits, it comes all the way through; but again, the word is not specific for regurgitation!) and does thereafter does chew ‘predigested material’! The mistake is in our applying of the scientific terms of rumination to something that does not require it.
snails melt with salt if they come in contact with it , I'm sure snakes have gotten some dirt in their mouth even if they didn't consider that there meal.

Anything that doesn't make sense to us is because of two reasons.
1) we don't WANT to understand and won't even TRY to understand Him because we are not ready to accept Him in our hearts or are scared of Him because we think that He is a punisher, 1 John 4:18 says that we shouldn't fear Him once we come to know Him because He is not a punisher).
2) we have found something that is not consistent with human thought (not unusual ("I speak to you in human terms because of your natural limitations...", Romans 6:19...).

It is a problem in HUMAN UNDERSTANDING. The "misunderstandings" are very obvious. God makes no attempt to hide these obvious "misunderstandings" from us. Neither does God ever patronize humanity by telling us how smart we are and that we should be able to make sense out of everything He says. He says that human nature is human folly (foolishness).
NO ONE can have an answer to everything in scripture, we can only hope to understand most of what is written, but if we have love in our heart (for God and our fellow human being), we won't let any of these misunderstandings come between ourselves and God (PERSONAL relationship with Jesus). If you truly love someone, you won't let anything come between the both of you, even if your faith falters because of misunderstanding or anything else (like Job, love never fails). That's the real message of God (the spiritual one). The LITERAL message is not the one that we should fuss about. Adam and Eve ate of the tree of conscience and we are to be able to stand before The Lord everyday with a clear conscience because we have learned from God's Holy Spirit to be righteous. We are to be transformed by the renewing of our MIND (Romans 12:2 and Luke 24:25),...there are many misunderstandings.

There are many more misunderstandings to be discovered. There are no "contradictions" (God cannot be wrong, it's just impossible).
It isn't God that's wrong. It's man that has it wrong. The misunderstandings and contradictions are signs that man has it wrong. Most especially in the Bible. And that's the whole point.
Pretending that the contradictions don't exist because "God cannot be wrong" is completely, intentionally, deliberately maintaining your own ignorance. Even if your statement is 100% true, that "God cannot be wrong", that has absolutely nothing to do with the proof of the truth of the Bible and everything to do with the assertion that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God.
Since God cannot be wrong, the Bible, which is clearly wrong in places, is not representative of God. Either that, or the Bible does faithfully and accurately represent God and so God can be wrong. Your choice.

It should not matter to you whether I know or understand the meaning of phrase. If ARE a Christian, and not just call yourself one then YOU should act accordingly.
Clearly YOU don't understand the meaning of it , because you are making false accusations and complaining about the very thing you falsely accuse other of doing. That makes you a hypocrite. You are a fraud of a Christian.

I am not saying you don't have legitimate questions that need answers, I just read some of the ones above you quoted in a different light. For example wisdom In Proverb 4:7 When I read this I understand it as speaking of Gods wisdom.
In the other 2 I understand it to be speaking of man's wisdom vs. Gods wisdom.
Is Jesus greater or lesser than God. I believe Jesus was a very humble man. I believe this was one of the reasons he was born in a stable and not a palace. He was in human flesh and our example and I believe he was saying he was one with the father in the spirit/ in agreement/in essence. He showed he honored the father and the father showed he honored the son.
I know God is real and Jesus is real, Not only because I read it in a book or someone told me , He speaks to me through His word and other ways. I am not upset you have questions. I search the truth to all questions but with a positive frame of mind. I know he is real so I can search with a positive attitude even when I don't understand. Well I know 40 thousand and 4 thousand are not the same, But I can't say the bible is not true or Gods word for their could be a explanation for it that we don't know like a scribe who didn't see the zero because the document was faded from being old. I know that sounds stupid but it could be the reason. I believe the message is intact though. We are talking about numbers here. The 4 legged insects I know they had to have known a insect has more than 4 legs so I have to believe from vs 21 the legs under the feet explain the difference and the meaning on the extra legs under the feet where used for propulsion for leaping and not considered as part of the 4. That to you probably sounds stupid too but they would have known insects have more than 4 legs.
