Re: question about toddler development

Hmm. Has your child received any vaccinations??

I'm sure every child is different. Could be language delay.
Your child does sound quite different from the only 2-year-old I know. My little cousin recently turned 2. He speaks a lot, and has been for a while, although I consider him precocious. He already was speaking a dozen or so words back when he was 1, plus baby sign language. He has even told a few jokes he thought up. He sang along with me today on "Old McDonald Had A Farm" and sang in tune and got most of the words right, except he sang "E-O-E-O-E" instead of "E-I-E-I-O". He's very responsive and obedient. But he has been raised breast-fed health-food high-raw lots of juicing vegan, no vaccinations, and no TV - and disciplined, loving yet strict parents.
Children are all different, though. I've heard sometimes geniuses are very late in speaking. I'm no expert! He doesn't sound that unusual to me. Keep an eye on him and continue loving him and spending time with him and playing and talking and feeding him in the healthiest way possible. And you might want to start doing a little sign language, if you aren't already. It sounds like you are a great parent!
Best Wishes
