Re: Woman dies in water drinking contest for a Nintendo

FYI, my intent was nothing to do about smearing the virtues of water.

My intent was to highlight a rather routine sample of MSM propaganda such that - from that point, people are on their own and at their own risk to read into the story whatever they will. My attention in particular was drawn to A) the smattering of subtle disclaimers included in the reported story, B) some of the common themes involved - seemingly good-hearted mother, "just doin it for the kids", in pursuit of run-of-the-mill trend "video game grail du jour", another senseless death; C) the disparity between the Coroner's report versus the contest manager's sentiment "gee I hope they find out how this happened" and D) the subtle differences between different releases of the same basic AP "story" - 1 local to the incidnet (California), 1 distant (Pennsylvania).
