Re: black & blue spot on varicose vein! scared.

Get some Horse Chestnut capsules and begin taking them. That is one of the herbs highly recommended for varicose veins. In addition try taking a tonic of raw apple cider vinegar, a little sweetener for taste and cayenne. I suggest cayenne tincture instead of the powder. This tonic will help improve your circulation in a very short time. Also make sure you are drinking plenty of water, sipping it throughout the day so your body can absorb it. This helped some varicose veins below my knee reduce in size and are no longer knobby or swollen. If you can, take some walks on the beach to keep the blood flowing, you do not want it to pool in the legs. Remember that the area around the veins is often inflamed and will bruise very easily. Tiny capillaries that branch off the veins may also be ruptured and leaking tiny amounts of blood causing the discoloration. Its unsightly, but usually not dangerous. The bump on your foot may be a place where the valves in the vein are swollen, and this should go down. You may need to take a good anti-inflammatory like fish or flax oil or an herb like turmeric to reduce inflamation in the veins.
