Ozone Bubble - Some basics on feeding

Hi Ozone

Feel free to ask any questions! There's quite a few of us that feed BARF here.

The basics are raw meaty bones (chicken wings, rabbit etc. must contain meat and bones - ideally organic/wild - bear in mind that the minerals are found in the bones.) Also, a little offal such as tripe, liver - makes up around 10%, plus 20-30% raw veggies and a little fruit (mush this up) Occasionally, some sardines or wild alaskan salmon

The key supplements I add - a tiny bit of kelp (great for minerals), a little ACV, sometimes a little salmon or cod liver oil.

Sounds expensive, but you (like I) only have little dogs, so shouldn't cost too much, and this type of eating doesn't promote over eating.

How are your dog's teeth? If they are weak, you may need to grind up the meaty bones, however, the eating of meaty bones is great exercise and helps with digestion.

Dogs really can not handle starches (potatoes/grains), they do not produce salivary amylase like humans.

Hope that helps.

All the best
Maya
