Re: my doggie has cancer - what to do?

I agree! Following Sheeba's diagnosis of bone cancer in September, we switched to a "Raw Meaty Bone" diet. High protein, no or limited starches and no sugar. A table spoon of plain yogurt with a raw egg and apple cider vinegar. Once or twice a week we fed a fish meal (canned sardines or mackerel or fresh salmon) She also gets a slew of supplements. Until the last two weeks or so (when we took her off steroids) she was doing fantastic. Since then, we have just been feeding her anything she will eat (canned dog food, cooked beef chunks, gerber meat baby food, deli roast beef and liverwurst), focusing on her water/liquid intake, pain pills and supplements.
Good luck! This has been one of the most difficult things for my husband and I to go through.
